1. Roomba iRobot i3+ from iRobot EVO
The i3+ EVO and its i3 EVO sibling, the i3 EVO are both identical robots, but they differ in that the i3+ has self-emptying features. The i3+ is a great option for those looking for a an automated, hands-free cleaning experience but are willing to manually empty the dustbin of the robot when it is full.
Both robots excel at picking up surface debris off hard floors and carpets, and they're excellent at getting around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates intelligent maps of your home that aid the i3+ EVO navigate and clean in a way that maximizes efficiency. However, unlike the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we tested the i3+ does not have a feature for avoiding obstacles and therefore it could be stuck on things like socks or power cords, and it may have trouble traversing transitions across surfaces like from hardwood to rug.
iRobot recommends that you tidy up the area where the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or clutter it might encounter. You should also keep the dustbin and filters free of dirt to prevent them from getting blocked. If the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or the battery is empty it goes back to its docking station and automatically emptying its trash into the station's dust bin and then resumes cleaning where it left off. The i3+ EVO's battery can last for approximately an hour and a half of continuous use. It takes around three hours to fully recharge.
2. IRobot Roomba i7+
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model of the flagship line from iRobot, and it comes with all the latest features. It is self-charging and self-navigating, but the most significant feature is the self-emptying bin. This removes the need for routine maintenance.

The i7+ is faster and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from any surface, including carpeting. Its greatest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying garbage bin, which eliminates the main sources of maintenance and reduces the cost of maintenance.
We were also amazed by the i7+'s integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning session and to move around the room and vacuum a specific space. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. After connecting we were able to communicate with the i7+ using voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
In a world filled with vacuums that are cordless and look like minivans or buses, this tiny Dyson model is a sports car. It is powerful enough to replace a stand-up vacuum in a majority of homes, but also small enough to fit on a coffee table or bookcase.
The V10 is powered by a Lithium-ion battery with 7 cells of energy that produces energy that lasts for 60 minutes. The sophisticated whole-machine filter system traps allergens, then releases cleaner air into your home. The cleaning head is specially designed to drive bristles made of nylon that are stiff into carpet to collect large dust and crumbs. It comes with three suction settings to meet the task at hand. It is able to swiftly switch from handheld to floor vacuum, and vice versa.
This model has a dock that can charge the Dyson to 100 percent in 3.5 hours. It also provides the ability to connect two attachments and a Wand. This is a huge improvement over older Dysons which require a long charge and are difficult to store.
The V10's main drawback is its limited running time. Its marketing claims that it can provide up to 60 minutes of running time are not true as CR's tests show. This is a typical battery-powered vacuum's run time. It's enough time to vacuum the typical home but not enough to reach every area. (A second run usually works). This model has its own advantages however: it's light and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is noticeably superior on low-pile floor carpet.
4. iRobot Roomba 694"
The 694 is a basic robotic vacuum that's a great option for those who don't have a lot of money to invest in the latest model of robot. It was able to pick up the majority of types of debris and sizes in our tests, and frequently went over the same area multiple times to give an efficient clean. The flat front of the unit allows to get into corners and along the edges of walls, which is a nice touch.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of iAdapt to stay clear of obstacles and navigate your home, but it lacks the ability to map that comes with more sophisticated models such as our top picks, the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. It can get stuck on phone cords or low furniture and will often run out of power before returning to its base.
The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways over the Roomba 694 because it has less parts that require regular cleaning, is equipped with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtering system, has a lower cost of recurring costs, has more advanced automation abilities and is better able to maneuver its own. It also has a bigger dustbin and can charge faster.
The sleek RoboVac X8 has a superior battery life than the Roomba 694. It also comes with physical boundaries and can be controlled with the voice assistant on your smartphone. It also feels more sturdy and has a stronger motor, and performs notably better on floors that are bare and carpets with a low pile, as well as providing a greater variety of automation options.
5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+
Samsung is a household name in the field of home electronics. It's not a surprise, then, that they are also among the top producers of robot vacuums and mop. Jet Bot AI+ has an advanced onboard technology that allows to navigate and avoid obstacles.

In our tests in our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors. It cleaned up 86 percent of dog hair (on carpet). However, it wasn't particularly well at avoiding higher-up objects like cords or socks, which was disappointing. It's also more expensive than the other models we've tested, and this could be a deterrent for some buyers.

They also have two side sweepers for cleaning around corners and edges. It also includes a smart application that lets you see the virtual map, and control functions and schedules. You can also monitor the vacuum's status and send it to the dock for charging at the press of a single button. The app allows you to personalize the lights on top of the vacuum using different colors, so that you can clearly see the areas where it's focused or where it's gotten stuck.
The app makes it possible to manually steer the robot when needed. My living room rug, for example is darkly colored which could cause a problem for other robots. However the HRV 425BL kept moving across the border, without registering it as a cliff. The ability to program a weekly cleaning schedule for each week is a time-saving advantage.
